WirelessWednesday Exclusive: Cara Adams, Director of Race Tire Engineering for Bridgestone

Rick is joined by Cara Adams for this Wireless Wednesday Exclusive.

Cara is the Director of Race Tire Engineering and Production for Bridgestone Americas. She is directly responsible for tires for Indy cars.

After being cooped up inside for much of the past year, our cars haven’t spent much time out of the garage or driveway. But finally, Americans are hitting the road this summer! In fact, a recent survey from Bridgestone found more than half of Americans plan to travel only by car this summer to reach their vacation destinations. But just because we’re ready to roam doesn’t mean our cars are prepared!

Tires are the only part of a vehicle that touch the road and their proper care and maintenance are vital to their performance and your safety. In fact, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that worn-out tires are 3X more likely to be involved in a crash than tires with sufficient tread.

Indy car champions have relied on Firestone tires for more than a century… and their on-track success translates to excellence on the open road. So, to mark National Tire Safety Week (June 28th – July 4th,) Cara talks all things tire safety.
