Wireless Wednesday Live: Katherine Bruce, Market Insights at Cotton Incorporated
Cotton Incorporated’s annual Lifestyle MonitorTM survey found consumers decreasing their gift-giving budget 8% this year, from $914 in 2023 to $844 now.
However, that doesn’t mean gift givers won’t be indulging in gifts. Once again, clothing will be a top choice for gift-buying, with nearly 7 out of 10 consumers (69%) saying they would like to receive clothing as a gift this holiday season. With slightly lesser budgets, consumers are still looking for higher-quality purchases, as more than half say they look for cotton when shopping for clothing gifts.
Dr. Katherine Bruce, manager of market insights at Cotton Incorporated, joins Rick to talk more about the holiday shopping survey and what shoppers should look for when they’re buying clothes for family and friends.
