Tech gifts again will be popular for the holidays

Black Friday is just a few weeks away and it’s traditionally one of the biggest days for electronics sales in the U.S. Roughly half of Americans say they plan to buy a new device during the upcoming sales and a new nationwide survey is shining light on what some of the most anticipated items could be.



Nearly 1 in 5 (18%) plan on gifting electronics this holiday season

2 in 5 worry about supply chain issues impacting the holiday season

71% are worried about inflation’s impact on tech products

As for what people want in their technology, 73% want better battery life, 58% are looking for more durable portable electronics, and 40% want more lightweight electronics.


Consumers are ready to drop some big bucks to get those new features with nearly half planning on spending more than $500 on new technology in 2023, and 14% ready to spend anywhere between $1,000-$2,000.
