Halloween decorating in 2024, men and tech get involved

Did you know that over one-half of Americans plan to decorate for Halloween this year?

Lawn Love’s latest survey of over 1,000 U.S. adults reveals their budgets and plans related to Halloween decor.

Top Findings:

Halloween is a smash hit across the board, with 96.95% of those aged 25 to 34 gearing up to celebrate, outpacing the younger crowd (18-24) at 93.18%.

Younger adults are far more likely to host Halloween parties, with 73.28% of those aged 25 to 34 planning to host a gathering, compared to only 40.7% of those aged 45 to 54.

In a bit of a surprise, men are embracing their inner ghouls, with 55.17% always decorating their homes for Halloween, outshining women (49.72%).

Technology each year plays a bigger role. From shrieking doorbells and ghostly projectors to automated light displays and Wi-Fi-powered fog machines, you can make the most of your home Halloween display without breaking a sweat.

“U.S. households are expected to spend $3.8 billon decorating their homes for Halloween this season,” said consumer expert Caleb Silver. “That is a little up from last year. We're talking about $35 or so per household."

Watch your budgets, but most of all Halloween is about having fun.
