From Booth W4143M on the NAB Show floor in West Hall, Fastah Inc. today announced the private preview launch of its newest developer tool: “Look Ma, It’s a Starlink! API.” The API gives media and streaming companies, CDNs, ISPs, and cloud operators a window into the fast-growing world of satellite-based internet, starting with Starlink and ViaSat, with support for Amazon Project Kuiper to follow as it begins its deployment — also happening today.

“We’ve always struggled with buffering and unpredictable performance for users on satellite networks — until now. With Fastah’s satellite API, we finally have visibility and control over where and how our content reaches LEO-connected users.”

— a hypothetical early customer reaction that gets to the heart of the problem

With this new API, customers can detect whether a user is connecting over Starlink or ViaSat, look up their IP-based geolocation, identify their closest cloud region or CDN edge, and understand where traffic is likely entering the ground network. It’s designed to make satellite connectivity less of a black box — and more of a predictable, optimizable part of the modern internet stack.

“We’re excited to launch this API right as Amazon's Project Kuiper is entering the scene,” said Sid Mathur, founder of Fastah Inc.
