CES Unveiled once again gives media a preview
Most of the more than 5,000 media members attending CES in Las Vegas this week got their first look at an automated swimming pool cleaner, a home pizza oven and electric skates Sunday at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
This year's CES, sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association, kicked off with “CES Unveiled,” the first of two media days for what is Las Vegas’ largest audited trade show.
After a 45-minute introduction, a convention hall at Mandalay Bay with some of the newest products opened for three fun hours for reporters to conduct interviews with exhibitors and get a first look at new products as a preview of what to expect at this year’s show, which runs through Friday.
Attendees at the opening event roamed eight aisles of booths featuring more than 100 companies.
Among the products introduced at the unveiling is a device that could be used by thousands of Southern Nevada homeowners — a line of cordless robotic pool cleaners from Atlanta-based Aiper Intelligent LLC, a machine that makes fresh ice cream and smoothies out of pods and new smartwatches for kids.
