AT&T and eWaste

Something great for Earth Month.

We all have them around our house: outdated and unused phones and other tech gathering dust in the corner – also known as “e-waste.” In fact, it’s estimated that more than 50 million metric tons of e-waste is generated globally every year.

April marks the start of Earth Month, and AT&T is offering a solution to combat the issue here in Atlanta at several retail locations. Instead of tossing old tech in the trash bin and adding to the e-waste problem, AT&T is encouraging community members to recycle their old laptops, phones, tablets, etc. at one of our local retail stores. For every 1 pound of e-waste collected in April, AT&T will donate one laptop to a local family or student in need, helping to close the digital divide.

We’re collecting e-waste at stores in Atlanta and other communities.
