One to watch: Erin Jackson, Olympic Speedskater

Pleasure to talk with Olympic speedskater, Erin Jackson, as she gets ready to leave for South Korea.

Erin is bound to be one of the best stories of the Winter Games. She's a former Roller Derby queen, an inline speed skater and now she's only been on ice for about five months.

Team USA Newcomer Makes History After “Clutch Performance” at U.S. Trials Earlier this Month Jackson started training on ice full time just five months ago after a successful in-line skating career, charting a course to potentially compete for a spot at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. But in a stunning performance at the 2018 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Long Track, the Ocala, Florida native shattered her personal best time to finish third overall and become the first African-American woman on Team USA’s long track speedskating team. Erin knows what it means to perform your best when it matters most. Now, she is set to chase her dreams at the Olympic Winter Games, and she’s gotten some great help along the way. That includes a new partnership and help from Bridgestone.

Erin is a great story and great she has backing from a great company in Bridgestone. She sais she's ahead of schedule on her making the Olympic team, but will make the best of it at the 2018 Games. Follow here throughout her journey and on social media.
