Sling announces new UI features
Sling TV launched several new UI features to make content discovery on the service easier than ever. These updates will begin to roll out to Android users today, and will be rolling out to additional devices very soon.
Grid Guide – Sling listened to customer feedback and incorporated a traditional grid guide option to allow viewers to quickly browse what’s on now, filter channels by genre and see the upcoming schedule of every channel in one glance.
Featured Movies and Shows – In the coming weeks, look for new “Featured” content ribbons to MyTV, starting with “Featured Movies” and “Featured Shows,” to make it easier to discover our deep library of on-demand content.
What’s Hot Now – “On Now” is getting smarter by showing the most popular events and shows first, through added intelligence in our live content sorting system for easy, one-click access.
Shows Screen – In the next few weeks, a new screen dedicated to TV shows will debut. “Shows” will make finding a TV series to watch simple, sorting shows by genres like drama, lifestyle, comedy, crime, sci-fi, action or kids. With more than 31,000 episodes of on-demand shows from Sling, finding a show to watch is more important than ever.
The new technology includes “On Now” with a new algorithmic method will surface the most important and trending live content for easy, one-click access.
Sling TV users will also be amazed by the ease in finding their favorite shows.
