Holland Startup Pavilion sure to be a hit at CES

From Austin Powers, Goldmember

There are only two things I can't stand in this world: People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.

- Nigel Powers

This won't be the case at CES 2017, as everyone is looking forward to see what the Dutch are up to.

The Netherlands currently ranks 4th in the European Union and 19th globally in the Global Startup Ecosystem Ranking. 30 Dutch tech startup companies within the Holland Startup Pavilion were selected out of nearly 3,500 startups. HRH Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands will lead a first-time delegation of Dutch startups within Eureka Park at CES. CES 2017 is the world’s largest innovation event spanning across 230,000 net square meters of exhibit space with more than 3,800 companies being featured.

The Holland Startup Pavilion will feature cutting-edge technologies from the most innovative startups through the Netherlands as chosen by StartupDelta. StartupDelta has a mission to promote the Netherlands as a top EU location to start and grow innovative companies. The venture works closely with a national cluster of eight Dutch innovation hubs, together with corporate partners and the Ministries of Economic Affairs and Foreign Affairs. His Excellency Minister of Economic Affairs Henk Kamp will visit CES with 80 Dutch companies focused on telecom, social media, digital health, sustainable technologies, and medical devices. StartupDelta paves the way for startups to scale up, mature, and develop their presence in international markets.

Henriette van Notten the Director of StartupDelta said, “CES provides an unparalleled opportunity for Dutch companies looking to forge partnerships and we are excited to showcase the best and the brightest Dutch entrepreneurs on the global stage at CES 2017.” The Netherlands is a key player in technological areas such as IoT, nanotechnology, biotech, robotics, greentech, smart mobility, and cybersecurity. The Holland Startup Pavilion groups 30 startups under the StartupDelta Umbrella at Eureka Park. The Holland Pavilion startup delegation is part of the first Dutch Government trade mission to focus on high-tech startups such as;

  • SendCloud – An innovative, accessible and affordable parcel delivery solution

  • Ipsum Energy - 24/7 direct feedback on energy consumption at the home appliance level

  • robotTUNER - Autonomous driving solutions for the public road

  • BabyWatcher – An at-home echo scanner for expecting parents that captures real-time images of their unborn baby

The Holland Startup Pavilion will serve as one of the largest international exhibitions within Eureka Park for CES 2017. The true entrepreneurial spirit of Dutch innovation will be well presented to the world through the companies covering a wide range of technologies. “The Netherlands is a leading nation in innovation and has a fast growing startup ecosystem. We come to CES with ambitious startups that seek to conquer the US market”, said Special Envoy Constantijn van Oranje. The Holland Startup Pavilion is located in Tech West, Sands, Level 1, Hall G at CES 2017, scheduled January 5-8 in Las Vegas.
