Georgia Sales Tax Holiday Weekend means tech
July 30 and 31 is Tax Free Weekend in Georgia according to the Department of Revenue. In fact, Georgia places in the top half of United States for sales tax at 7.01%. The government will temporarily suspend the collection of sales tax on items such as clothing, school supplies and computers, which includes Apple Premier Partner, Simply Mac. Simply Mac is full service Apple Premier Partner that offers new and certified pre-owned products. With the addition of tax-free exemptions, now is the perfect time to find back-to-school electronics at a discounted price.
Exempt items include batteries, cables, computers, monitors and printers.
“School is right around the corner and students, whether they are starting elementary school, high school, or going to college, have supplies they need before starting the year,” said Tommy Aoki, Vice President of Sales & Operations for Simply Mac. “Tax free weekend allows parents to purchase items for their kids at a lower price.” Simply Mac is a full service Apple Premier Partner that offers new and certified pre-owned MacBooks, iPads, product financing, keyboards and other accessories. According to the Department of Revenue, computers and electronic accessories with a sales price of $1000 or less are exempt. “Each Simply Mac location offers affordable Apple products, and with the addition of tax free exemptions, now is the perfect time to select a product at a price you can afford,” said Aoki. “We can help customers find the perfect product within their price range.”
